Home and Garden

It's that time of the month again when our Stampin' Birds team does a little blog hop and I share with you a project that I've been making.

I'm very sad that this stamp set is retiring at the end of this month as I think it's really versatile for anyone who enjoys gardening or DIY and it has some great sentiments for male cards and Father's Day.

I used this card design at a recent craft morning and we made cards for Father's Day which was last Sunday. The cards were very well received by the dads in question!

Supplies

Night of Navy cardstock – 14.8 x 21cm

Smokey Slate cardstock – 9.9 x 14.2cm

Basic White cardstock – 9.9 x 14.2cm

Basic White cardstock – 5 x 10.5cm

Scraps of white for stamping

Linen thread

Equipment

Home and Garden stamp set

Garden dies

Brick Wall embossing folder

Black ink pad

Merry Merlot ink pad

Banner duo punch

Hole punch

Smoky Slate blends

Crumb cake blends

Instructions

1.      Fold and burnish the card base along the score line.

2.      Take the piece of Smoky Slate card and emboss using the Brick Wall embossing folder (use plates 1 & 3 in the Stamp and Emboss machine). Adhere to the front of the card.

3.      Adhere the larger piece of white inside the card (add sentiment if you wish).

4.      Take the small white rectangle and clip two corners so it looks like a tag. Punch a hole and add a piece of linen thread. Adhere to the front of the card using the picture for guidance.

5.      Using black ink, stamp the images of your choice onto the scrap white card and colour using the Stampin blends. Die cut or fussy cut the images out and adhere to the tag.

6.      Using Merry Merlot ink, stamp your sentiments of choice onto the white strips of card. Trim so there is approximately 1cm of space either side of the text then punch the V shape using the banner punch.

7.      Adhere sentiments to the front of the card using foam dimensionals if you wish.
